Dream: The Cellar
I found myself walking along side of a very old house. This house was made of old limestone. The age of this house was unknown, but when I observed the foundation as I was walking along side of the house, I noticed that most of the mortar between the rocks was eroded or sandy. The little bit of grass that was against the foundation wall was dried up and shriveled. Small vines were growing up the foundation, however mostly dead. The ground was trodden down hard dirt. The sky was grey, gloomy with no sun. I did not notice if there was any further surroundings. There were also no windows on this side of the house.
Continuing to walk along this old house, I came to an open cellar door that led under the house. The doors were hanging wide open, they were made of dry rotted wood and the only thing that appeared to hold them together was the old fashioned iron hinges across the wood. Next, I looked down into the cellar. At first there wasn’t much to see accept the old stone steps, appeared to be made of slate. I started to walk slowly & cautiously down the stairs into the darkness. Arriving a little past half way down, far enough for my head to be below the doors, I saw a white mist. It was almost like it was alive. It grew around my feet and legs as though it was holding me. I then took a few more steps and what I saw was very weird, there were flames. These flames were not ordinary orange flames; they were black and had no light shining from them except for a dark blue outlining. Looking around I saw that there was old stone pillars holding the house up. They looked as though they could fall over at any given moment. The “basement” didn’t seem to have boundaries or an end such as the walls you would expect to see for the foundation around the rest of the house. Now, being only the second step from the floor, if there was one. I just stood in silent wonder as to what I was looking at. The next thing I heard put me into a state of fear immediately. I heard a very hideous breathing. The presence of this breath’s sound filled the place with an unbelievable feeling that I can not describe in words. I wondered where it was coming from, what should I do? Suddenly, out from one of the pillars to my left, I saw it coming towards me slowly and mystically. He stood about as tall as the ceiling (8-
